ForDX Foundation

The Fortaleza DX Group (ForDX) is starting the project ForDX Foundation that will receive donations from members (or not) to a fund for the exclusive purpose of supporting the DXpeditions to rare DXCC entities and/or IOTA islands with difficult access.

The ForDX has a strong tradition in the DX. The group was founded by avid DXers on the 1970s. Since then, several PT7land operators earned the maximum title awarded to a DXer: DXCC Top Honor Roll, archieved by how had worked all entities valid for DXCC program. Fortaleza City came to have the highest concentration of this honorary title in the world.

The idea of ​​fundation to support DXpedition came from the feeling that South America, particularly Brazil, needs to be more participative in DXpedition activity. One of the simplest way to participate directly into these activity is to give financial support to those who leave home and family to travel to a remote place to give us the opportunity to work a "new one" DXCC entity or rare island. The ForDX believes that this initiative will help develop DXing in our Country and Continent.

ForDX Member’s – or any interested amateur radio – will make monthly donations to the fund. This fund will be dedicated exclusively to support DXpeditions. The fund will be administered by members of ForDX who will decide on the donations always aiming at the development of DXing in Brazil and South America.

Anyone interested in receiving help from ForDX Foundation must submit a proposal for financial support with operation details, equipment, time, planning and overall budget. Proposals must be sent by email fordxfoundation@dxbrasil.net.

O Fortaleza DX Group (ForDX) está lançando o Projeto ForDX Foundation que receberá doações de DXistas membros, ou não, para formação de um fundo com o objetivo exclusivo de apoiar DXpedições à entidades DXCC raras e/ou ilhas válidas para o IOTA de difícil acesso.

O ForDX tem uma forte tradição no DX. O grupo foi fundado por ávidos DXistas nos anos 1970s. Desde então, vários operadores da PT7lândia conquistaram o título máximo concedido a um DXista – DXCC Top Honor Roll – por ter trabalhado todas as entidades válidas para o diploma DXCC. Fortaleza chegou a ter a maior concentração deste honroso título no mundo.

A ideia de uma fundo para apoiar DXpedições veio do sentimento de que a América do Sul, e particularmente o Brasil, precisam ser mais participativo nas DXpedições. Um dos jeitos mais simples de participar diretamente destas atividades é apoiar financeiro àqueles que deixam o conforto do lar e sua família para viajar à um lugar remoto para nos dar a oportunidade de trabalharmos um “new one”, seja uma entidade DXCC ou ilha rara. O ForDX acredita que esta iniciativa ajudará a desenvolver o DXismo em nosso Continente.

Os membros ForDX – ou qualquer radioamador interessado – farão doações mensais para o ForDX Foundation. Este fundo será dedicado exclusivamente para apoiar DXpedições e administrado pelos membros do ForDX que decidirão sobre as doações, sempre visando o desenvolvimento do DXismo no Brasil e na América do Sul.

Os interessados em receber ajuda da ForDX Foundation devem enviar proposta de apoio financeiro com detalhes sobre a operação, equipamentos, período, planejamento e orçamento total previsto. As propostas devem ser enviadas diretamente para o email fordxfoundation@dxbrasil.net.
